A Magnificent Night in Africa with The Future of Benin
Warm summer air welcomed friends, family and guests to the first annual summer gala held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the beautiful Smart Museum on the University of Chicago campus. Guests enjoyed the museum's impressive art collection, Susan Taylor's Windy City Jazz Band and entertainment from The Pocket Book Monologues by Sharon McGee. Guest of Honor and Personal Assistant to the President of Benin, Ms. Grace Lawani spoke about Benin and personally greeted guests. The gala was a great success with over 75 supporters in attendance.
